About the role:
As an Automation Engineer, you will belong to a global division that works with crane automation in Västerås, but you will primarily work on-site in Shanghai. There, you will be involved in software design, in-house testing, and commissioning of automation systems for container cranes. Your tasks will be varied and require close collaboration with colleagues on-site in Shanghai and in Sweden. The role will largely involve troubleshooting and PLC programming. You are responsible for delivering according to agreements with customers during testing and commissioning. This means you will be involved in technical discussions with customers while ensuring the timeline is followed.

Your profile:
We prefer that you are a stress-resistant person with a strong safety mindset. Since the cranes are between 50-70 meters high, it is important not to be afraid of heights. You need to be able to work both in teams and independently, and since the position involves working abroad almost 100% of the time, it is a great advantage if you have an interest in other cultures. You work according to relevant laws and standards but also in a pragmatic and smooth way to deliver results in a global environment. Furthermore, we see that you have good social skills and enjoy meeting new people.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as automation or electrical engineering
Knowledge of PLC programming
Swedish and English in spoken and written form
Driving license B

Meritorious:
Programming skills in C and C++
Knowledge of other languages
Training in health and safety
Training in electrical safety
